The Westover Companies support causes that are meaningful to us. The Westover Companies will continue to work with wonderful charitable organizations, like Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Hope + Door, and other charities.

Lemonade Day 2023
On Friday, June 9th was Lemonade Day!! All the Westover Properties hosted lemonade stands to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand!
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. We are grateful for everyone’s help to support such an amazing cause.
PAA Helping Hands
The Westover Companies is proud to support the PAA Helping Hands. Westover employees sit on committees for the PAA Helping Hands, and even more employees participate in and donate to several fundraisers each year, most notably the Amazing Race competition.
This year, Helping Hands’ focus is on ProjectHOME & The HEADstrong Foundation. ProjectHOME programs offer permanent, subsidized housing for individuals and families who had been homeless. and The HEADstrong Foundation offers financial, residential, and emotional support to families affected by cancer.
Hope + Door
The Westover Companies support and contribute hope + door, who help families avoid homelessness. Families and residents with children are eligible for up to 2 months paid rent.
Hope + Door says, “lets solve the crisis before it starts. we help families get back on their feet in a way that is sustainable for the long-term. we issue rent payments directly to a family’s landlord to get them back to current on their rent. in return, the landlord agrees not to pursue eviction.” Hope + Door helps families who suffer losses through no fault of their own; accidents, medical emergencies, crime, pandemic, and more.

DAA Apartment Angels
The Westover Companies are happy to contribute and participate in the Delaware Apartment Association’s Apartment Angels Program.
The program provides aid to families in need through 6 free months of rent in a Delaware apartment. Westover participates by providing apartments at no cost to the families selected by DAA. This program supports people who have hit a rough patch and need a little bit of help to get back on their feet.
Westover Giving Policy
Through the Human Resources department, Westover employees are able to request a donation to a charity of their choice. Since this new policy has begun, $35,000 has been donated by the Westover Companies to various charities on behalf of the employee.
Our employees most popular charities are St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and various SPCA chapters in local counties. Each employee can request a donation once per year.
